How do I use SA001A or CX2020 adpater to program the PLCC20 part?

For some adapters, the front side of the chip is not pointed up after inserting it on the
socket of the adapter instead it is pointed down on the socket. This method of placement
is called “Dead-bug”. For example, the socket on the SA001A adapter is designed to
eliminate the possibility of a PLCC20 chip to accidentally pop out of the socket. Thus, a
chip is inserted backwards, dead-bug, into the socket where the part number of the chip
is faced down on the socket. For example, when ALTERA EPC2LC20 PLCC20 is inserted
dead-bug into the socket of the SA001A adapter the counting order of the pins is
clockwise.
