I am using the socket SA001A to program the device GAL16V8DPLCC20. The programmer SP611s software said the wrong pin was reading.

The socket on the SA001A adapter is designed to eliminate the possibility of a PLCC20
chip to accidentally pop out of the socket. Thus, a chip is inserted backwards, dead-bug,
into the socket where the part number of the chip is faced down on the socket.
Please refer the adapter instruction in the FAQ section of Socket Adapter Use and
Selection.
