For Samsung, Micron, Hynix and Toshiba Nand, “Hard Copy” erase can remove the BI only when the BI is marked by customer’s data . If the BI is marked by factory (manufacturer), then It can’t be removed.

For Nand flash devices from ESMT, Cfeon, MXIC the BI will removed in hard copy erase no matter whether the BI is marked in factory or by customer’s data.
