Why are certain chips not supported on specific Xeltek programmers?

Not all chips can be supported on every programmer due to hardware limitations. Each Xeltek programmer is designed with fixed hardware specifications that determine what devices it can support. These include:

  • Maximum voltage and current range

  • Number of pins and pin drivers

  • Internal processing speed

  • Supported device package types

Because of these built-in limitations, a newer or more advanced programmer may be required to support certain chips—especially newer or more complex ones.

If you’re unsure whether your chip is supported, feel free to contact us with the full part number, and we’ll help you find the right solution.
